About

The Cuckoo is regularly heard around the coniferous plantation in spring and early summer. Search the fence along the east side of Ben Risary plantation where birds often perch. They are often mobbed by other small birds, especially Meadow Pipits. They are generally found in moorland fringes, often on an exposed perch or branch and heard by their classic "Cuckoo" call.
