About

Castlebay Marina is situated in the heart of Castlebay, Isle of Barra.  Not far from many community facilities such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, gin distillery, visitor information, laundry, refillery, swimming pool, gym, sauna and fuel.

It has 16 berths for visiting vessels and has water, electric and wifi as well as access to toilet and shower block.  All this is included in the price.  Waste disposal is also available at an extra charge.

Castlebay is an excellent stopping off point to rest and refuel and to explore the islands of Barra and Vatersay by walking, bike or bus.  Barra and Vatersay have a rich cultural heritage and a splendid natural environment to explore.

Castlebay Marina is a community owned facility and managed (from April 2023) by Bùth Bharraigh, a community owned social enterprise which also runs the community shop and visitor information service.  Profits are reinvested into the community to improve local facilities.
