About

Cnoc Soilleir is an exciting new development for Gaelic culture in the heart of South Uist. Events, courses, and activities will include language, music and performing arts. It is a joint venture by Ceòlas and Lews Castle College UHI and this new state of the art building is now complete.

The new focal building at Cnoc Soilleir (the placename meaning “the bright hill”) in Daliburgh, with facilities that have been designed to meet the needs of both UHI Outer Hebrides’s educational programmes, and Ceòlas’ community-led activities around Gaelic language learning, heritage, culture, music and dance.
